Lyons Links is privileged to have been recognised by the St. Andrews Links Trust for our commitment to standards with “Authorised Provider” status, a prestigious honor given to few travel companies. It also gives us access to precious guaranteed tee times on the hallowed ground at the home of golf. We look forward to helping golfers from all over the world to tee it up where it all began. Here’s a bit more about the world’s most famous golf course.

How you can Get a Tee Time . . .

As implied above there is phenomenal demand from golfers around the globe to play golf at St. Andrews, and in particular the Old Course. The St Andrews Links Trust ensures that access to the Old Course is not completely dictated by the size of one’s wallet. There are a variety of way to access Old Course tee times:

Guaranteed tee times: The St. Andrews Links Trust releases a limited number of tee times every year to a select group of “authorized providers” for advance purchase.
Enter the daily ballot: A lottery system that is drawn 48 hours in advance. Golfers apply by phone or in person at one of the Links Trust clubhouses before 2 pm, 48 hours before the intended day of play. Clients can enter the ballot here.
Single golfer walk-up: The daily ballot is now open to single golfers. Golfers can enter the “singles daily draw” on the day before play anytime between 9am and 5pm. The draw for the following day will take place at 5pm. Clients can see how the daily draw works here.
Fall lottery: The St. Andrews Links Trust has in the past run a “Fall lottery” for Old Course tee times for subsequent years. We will inform clients if and when this opportunity arises for 2025 tee-times
Winter package: In previous seasons offered between November and March, Old Course tee times can be purchased as part of a three-round package with two other St Andrews Links courses. Bookings for the 2024/25 Winter season are expected to Open in June.

According to St. Andrews Links: “There are a number of Authorised Providers (Golf Tour Operators and Local Accommodation Providers) offering packages, including guaranteed Old Course tee times, throughout high season (April – October). Authorised Providers can be recognised by the official ‘Authorised Provider’ logo displayed on their websites and social media platforms.” Lyons Links has taken plenty of groups to the Old Course.
